2023 Election Results and Board of Directors Announcement

On February 15, 2023, the second attempt Annual Election was held where the ballots were tabulated by Community Election Services, serving as the Inspector of Elections.

The certified results of the vote elected Giles Donovan and Bonnie Saito, each to a 3-year term; Johanna Alfandari and Sidney “Robyn” Bush, each elected to a 2-year term; and Carolyn Cochran elected to a 1-year term.  Carolyn Cochran resigned on 2/21/23 and the Board appointed Dean Colarossi to the open position with a term of 1 year.

Congratulations to the election winners and thank you to all those that participated in the Malibu Villas 2023 election.

Vehicle Registration – This Weekend!

Dear Home Owners,

This weekend is the last weekend we plan to hold vehicle registrations at the clubhouse.  Please take the opportunity to register your vehicles this weekend.

  • Friday, August 24, 7pm-8pm
  • Saturday, August 25, 11am-12pm
  • Sunday, August 26, 11am-12pm

Cost:  $10 per decal.  Please bring cash or check in the required amount.  Units not registering their vehicles by September 1, 2012 will be fined.

Owners with tenants are reminded that renters must have a valid lease to purchase decals.  All current tenants’ names must appear on the lease.  Owners accepting new tenants must provide a copy of the lease and a move-in fee of $175 to the management company, Tami Chavin at Tami@cpm1.com   Please explain the vehicle registration process carefully to your tenants and encourage them to read and follow all parking regulations including the guest parking pass policy.  All Rules and Regulations and this Vehicle Registration Form are available on this website.

2012-2013 Vehicle Registration

July 8, 2012

All resident vehicles must have a green 2012-2013 decal as of September 1, 2012, to avoid individual vehicle and unit fines.  The next vehicle registration date is Saturday, July 14, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., in the upper clubhouse.  The registration form is available on this website.  $10 per decal, either cash or check.  Non resident owners must make sure that their tenants comply with this registration.  Tenants must have a current lease on file with the management company to secure decals. Thank you for your cooperation.


PLEASE READ: Traffic disruption due to sink hole repairs

All MVOA residents:

During the extensive sinkhole repair on the first alleyway with digging commencing on Monday, July 9, there will be no through traffic permitted during weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Consequently, residents on the first and second rows in units beyond the steps leading to the clubhouse (midway) must access their homes by going around the construction, either through the second alleyway or the fourth row.  We predict that this repair work will last approximately 3 weeks.  Also, we encourage residents living in the vicinity of the affected area to put unit numbers of their trash cans to prevent mix-up during this disruptive period.  We are sorry for the disruption, but we must repair the sinkholes.

Emergency Water Shut Off Notice on Monday July 9

The water on the first row only will be shut off for approximately one hour on Monday, July 9, sometime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., due to an emergency plumbing repair.

Dear Homeowners.,
On Friday, 7/6, MVOA began to address the critical sinkhole problem on the first alleyway with the  preliminary steps of marking, sawing, and cutting.  There will be no digging until next week, beginning Monday, 7/9.  We predict that each of the following units will be inconvenienced for approximately a 3-4 day period over the following 3 weeks:  28358, 28354, 28356, 28350, 28346, and 28342.  The hand-digging work will commence near 28358, 28354, and 28356 (from Monday, 7/9).  During daytime hours in the digging phase, residents in the affected areas (units noted) will not have garage access from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m..  Access to the garages will be restored with a metal plate in the evening hours.  Please remove vehicles from the garages by 8 a.m.
All residents must take care in the construction area and not allow child play near the digging.
The Board apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this emergency repair decision.

Dear Homeowner,   The Minutes of the April Board Meeting have been posted.  Please note that password is required to access the minutes.  The password can be found on your monthly HOA bill.  Please also note the minutes state the next board meeting was to be held on May 15.  Due to schedules, the actual board meeting took place on June 5.  We are also looking to postpone the July 17 meeting.  The new meeting date will be announced on the website shortly.  Thank you.
